Nuc Pickup

We fill Nuc orders based in the order of deposits received. Basically the sooner you place your nonrefundable deposit the earlier you will get your nucs. Nuc pickup can be delayed due to weather conditions. Nuc Pickup starts after our state inspection. This typically occurs after April 20th.

Hands on Teaching in our Honey Bee Yard

Bring what your comfortable working bees in because we will be taking you into our bee yard and thru all your nuc hives purchased. You will get to see what you are buying. We will show you capped brood, larvas, eggs, capped and open honey (nectar), and what pollen looks like. You will see your mated queen walking on the frames! Several times last year beekeepers got to watch her lay eggs! We will teach you what has made us successful. Bring plenty of questions!

Travel Containers

We will transfer the frames from our Nuc boxes into your NEW travel container. If you have an EZ Nuc or a Pro Nuc you have used as a travel container before that is ok. You can even bring your new hive and ratchet strap and we will strap it together for traveling home. We also sell Pro Nucs as a travel container for $15 each. They can be used for a variety of things in the bee yard after you get home. They also have venting so your bees don’t overheat when traveling. We do not want used wooden equipment brought here. Used wooden hives can have can bring diseases to our bee yard. Foul Brood spores can live in wood up to 80 years. We don’t want that.

Pickup Times

Pickup times will be scheduled when you are notified that your nucs are ready for pickup. Typically we schedule pickups weekdays 4-6 pm and weekends 10am-2pm. (217)246-3742 Call or Text Thank You
